FAQ

(Frequently Asked Questions)

What types of wood are used in your hardwood lump charcoal?

We strictly use 100% natural, sustainably sourced Indonesian hardwoods known for their exceptional density. Our premium blends primarily consist of Walikukun, Tamarind, Mahogany, and Rosewood (Sono), ensuring a high heat output and robust lump structure that resists crumbling during transit.

No. Our hardwood charcoal is 100% natural with absolutely no chemical additives, binders, or artificial ignition fluids. The meticulous carbonization in our traditional dome kilns guarantees virtually zero sparks, minimal smoke, and no off-flavors, making it the perfect choice for commercial BBQs and high-end culinary use.

Thanks to our highly controlled carbonization process that achieves a fixed carbon level between 70% to 80%, our hardwood lump charcoal delivers a steady, extreme-heat burn that lasts between 4 to 5 hours. This significantly outperforms standard commercial charcoal and reduces operational costs for restaurants.

Yes. Our standard export lump sizes range from 5 cm to 15+ cm. However, because we operate our own sorting and grading facility, we can easily customize the chunk sizes to meet the exact specifications of your restaurant clients, retail packaging, or industrial smelting needs.

Our standard MOQ is one 20ft container, though we highly recommend a 40ft HC container (holding approximately 20 tons) for maximum sea freight cost efficiency. We offer versatile export packaging solutions, including 10kg-20kg PP woven bags, retail-ready multi-layer Kraft paper bags, and bulk Jumbo bags. OEM/custom brand printing is fully supported.

Because we operate our own sorting and grading facility, we can supply four distinct categories of hardwood charcoal to match your specific industry needs:

  • Premium Lump (5cm+): The standard large, irregular chunks.

  • Stick / Branch Cut (5cm+): Cylindrical branch shapes preferred for specialized grilling.

  • Bark Charcoal (Kulitan): Economical outer wood layers with excellent heat properties.

  • Granular Charcoal: Crushed / fine grades.

It depends on your target market. If you are supplying steakhouses, BBQ retailers, or culinary distributors, our Lump (5cm+) and Stick (5cm+) grades are the best choice for long, intense, and spark-free grilling. However, if you operate a briquette manufacturing plant, agricultural business, or industrial smelting facility, our Bark and Granular charcoal provide a highly cost-effective, high-carbon raw material solution.

Moisture control is our top priority. We guarantee a moisture content of under 8% straight from our kilns. Before shipping, the charcoal is packed securely using moisture-resistant inner plastics inside durable outer bags (such as PP woven or Kraft bags). We also strategically place high-absorption desiccants inside the shipping container to ensure your cargo arrives bone-dry and ready for immediate ignition.

As a direct manufacturer with continuous dome kiln operations, our standard lead time for carbonizing, grading, packing, and container stuffing is typically 7 to 10 days for a 40ft High Cube container (approx. 20 tons). This timeline ensures that we do not compromise on the cooling process, preventing any risk of spontaneous combustion during the voyage.
