We maintain absolute control over every stage of carbonization at our facility in Probolinggo, East Java. By eliminating third-party brokers, we guarantee consistent specifications from raw material selection to final container loading.
We exclusively source legally harvested, high-density Indonesian hardwoods and fully mature coconut shells.
Materials are processed in our traditional dome kilns under strict temperature control to achieve a fixed carbon level of 75% - 80%.
To prevent spontaneous combustion and mold, the charcoal undergoes a natural cooling process and thorough sun-drying, strictly keeping moisture levels below 8% - 10%.
Our quality control team manually sorts and mechanically screens the batches to eliminate unburned materials, stones, fibers, and excessive dust.
Graded charcoal is immediately packed and floor-loaded directly into containers at our warehouse to prevent contamination and transit damage.
At NusaCoal, we keep our business terms simple, transparent, and specifically designed for international B2B trade to build long-term trust with our partners. We apply a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) of one container (20ft or 40ft) and process payments securely via T/T (Telegraphic Transfer). All transactions are legally bound and routed strictly through the official corporate bank accounts of PT Berlian Hitam Group, ensuring smooth processing and reliable export handling for our global buyers.

Ensuring smooth and secure logistics is a top priority for our export operations. To accommodate your preferred supply chain strategy, we offer two primary shipping terms:
We handle the entire process of preparing, packaging, and delivering your order to the designated export port in Indonesia. Once the cargo is securely loaded onto the vessel, you have the full freedom to manage your preferred shipping line and insurance.
For a hassle-free experience, we take care of everything. We cover the local handling, ocean freight, and marine insurance required to deliver the container safely to your destination port.
We provide versatile export packaging solutions engineered to withstand long maritime transits and rough port handling. To meet your specific market requirements, we offer three main packaging configurations:
We support fully customized, full-color printed bags tailored to your exact brand identity. Premium visual concepts—such as dynamic black and fiery red designs—are highly effective in maximizing product appeal on retail shelves.
For large-scale, economical B2B bulk shipments, we provide highly durable standard woven bags. These feature a straightforward layout (such as our standard yellow bags) clearly marked with "CHARCOAL MADE IN INDONESIA" for clear origin identification.
To preserve the structural integrity of stick charcoal and other precision-shaped grades, we supply highly robust, heavy-duty carton packaging. The charcoal is neatly arranged directly inside the sturdy box, ensuring excellent physical protection and safe handling during the ocean voyage without the need for additional inner plastic liners.
(Frequently Asked Questions)
Yes, we are a fully registered and legally compliant corporate entity in Indonesia. We are a direct manufacturer operating our own traditional kilns and grading facilities in East Java, not a trading middleman. This ensures transparent transactions, strict quality control, and competitive factory-direct pricing for our global B2B partners.
To ensure secure international trade, we accept payments exclusively via Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) to our company’s official bank account. Our standard terms require a 50% down payment upon signing the Proforma Invoice or contract, with the remaining 50% balance due prior to shipment (loading into the container). We also accept payment via an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight (100%) for high-volume contracts.
We offer flexible logistics to match your supply chain. We provide FOB (Free On Board) terms, delivering the cargo safely to major Indonesian ports (such as Tanjung Perak, Surabaya). We also offer CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms if you prefer our team to manage the ocean freight and marine insurance directly to your destination port.
For every international shipment, we provide a comprehensive set of legal export documents: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Certificate of Origin (COO), and Fumigation/Phytosanitary Certificates. Independent laboratory testing (such as SGS or Sucofindo) can also be arranged upon request.
Absolutely. We highly encourage transparency. Buyers are always welcome to visit our manufacturing and warehousing facility in Probolinggo, East Java, to inspect our operations and stockpiles firsthand. We also dispatch product samples via DHL/FedEx for independent laboratory testing, with the buyer covering only the courier fees.
Our standard MOQ for both Hardwood Charcoal and Raw Coconut Shell Charcoal is one 20ft container. However, to maximize sea freight cost-efficiency, we strongly recommend ordering a 40ft High Cube (HC) container. A 40ft HC holds approximately 20 tons of hardwood charcoal or 24-25 tons of raw coconut shell charcoal.
We process 100% natural, sustainably sourced Indonesian hardwoods (such as Walikukun, Tamarind, and Mahogany blends). Our sorting facility produces four distinct grades: Premium Lump (5cm+) for commercial restaurants, Stick / Branch Cut (5cm+) for specialized grilling, Bark Charcoal (Kulitan), and Granular Charcoal for industrial raw material applications.
We supply fully carbonized, raw coconut shell charcoal engineered specifically for briquette and activated carbon factories. Sourced exclusively from mature shells, it features a high Fixed Carbon content (75%-80%), low moisture (<10%), and low ash (<3%). It contains absolutely zero unburned “brown” shells and no chemical additives.
As a direct manufacturer with continuous dome kiln operations, our standard lead time is 7 to 10 days for a 40ft HC container. This timeframe allows us to ensure complete carbonization, thorough cooling to prevent spontaneous combustion, rigorous manual screening, and secure container stuffing directly at our warehouse.
We offer highly durable packaging engineered for maritime transit. Options include Standard PP Woven Bags (typically 20kg-30kg) for bulk materials, heavy-duty Carton Boxes (Master Boxes) for precision shapes like stick charcoal (loaded directly without plastic liners to preserve integrity), and OEM Full-Printing Retail Bags tailored to your specific brand design.
